Whilst it's apart I'm changing the oil pump.
I have ordered minispares GLP138, but, I've seen recommendations to buy an oil pump that's modified etc.
What's your thoughts on the minispares item and will it be ok to use?
Car.doesnt get a hammering etc

I always use GLP110MS. It has a very much higher flow rate, but I now always use it as I have had issues with the GLP138.
The oil pump is the heart of the engine and for peace-of-mind it's always worth changing it when the engine is down.

Even though its brand new?
Yes. The amount of crap that is found in them is horrendous.

The GLP138 is all you need here.
As Nick suggests, a good idea to open them up and at least inspect.

Inside the box is a leaflet saying that the pump is engineered to very fine working tolerances and they are pressure and flow rated by quality control.
Always a bit sceptical when you receive a different part number to what was ordered.
