Hello everyone!

I'm working on my 1973 Mini MK3 to get it pass the ITV inspections (ITV is like the UK's MOT tests... But Worse!) and recently the wiper motor has died...

The wiper motor my Mini has is a single speed motor made by Femsa (My car is built by Leyland AUTHI... BL's spanish division... The motor is nearly identical to the Lucas one but is square shaped instead of round)

I've tried to find a single speed Femsa motor around my zone but its nearly impossible to find one...

I've found this Lucas two speed motor on Minispares: (https://www.minispar...ic/GXE7708.aspx) but it doesn't include the gear... Then there's this full kit that includes the gear: (https://www.minispar...GXE7708KIT.aspx)

My question is, apart from changing the switch and motor mount... Would the original motor's gear work on this Lucas two speed motor or do I need the full kit with gear included to convert it?

Single speed  - two speed is no issue. Two speed motors were fitted as single speed. If there is an issue it will be matching the wheel boxes to give the correct sweep. Have a look at which are on your car and compare them with what's listed for the motor you want to use.
