Looked everywhere online and can't find either a part number or any evidence of one in parts diagrams.    There must be one as you need to keep fumes out the cabin?    I bought the blanking plug thinking i could make a hole in it however it is quite thick and not very pliable.  I might have a land rover one somewhere but would rather the proper one for a 1987 2 clock city e.

I just used one of the generic 1" blanking plugs - drilled a hole and then cut it on a radius as I was not removing the speedo cable just to fit a grommet.  My oil pressure pipe also goes through the same hole.

I think that and a dab of glue might do the job, like a glue together cv boot.   I will do that!
