Hi, whats the right lucas coil for a 65dm4, the mini is 1275 and is unballasted, thanks alot.

GCL143 is the factory correct part. 1 ohm primary resistance

 

I believe AC Dodd fits regular ballasted coils 1.5 ohm. He'll have some posts on TMF about it.

0.8ohm is the factory rated coil.

Thanks alot Ac, what’s your thoughts on a 1275 with a hif44 with bej needle,65dm4, dlb198, going not bad ,hard to get it to rev over 3000, don’t know the origin of the distributor, i,ve just got a Gunsons gastester pro, what should i be looking for (timing set as per haynes), thanks alot for your help,

That needle is far to lean, get the engine tuned properly it will transform the way the car runs.
