Hi All

Long time lurker on here. Currently in the thick of it, rebuilding my 89 Mini City.

Does anyone know/recognise the arches fitted the mini in the pictures below?

From what I can gather they're either Grp 2 Extra Wide, OR group 5. However both seem to differ slightly when it comes to the leading edge.

Are these an original pattern or is it a case of these been trimmed/fitted at angle that makes them look different? Cheers

They look, to me, like Group 2s. I think they may have used only rears, hence the 'extra' bit at the front of the front arch.

Excuse me Nick! It's not possible to send you personal messages. Could you check this post and tell me if the front cam bearings are fitted in right position?
Thanks in advance.

It's been awhile but I've done some digging, they appear to be a subset of Group 2's.

So far it seems ABS motorsport have them called 'Classics' and Mini spares have called them 'gp5's'

They seem to differ on width, price and description however! Mini spares seem to have them pegged as a premium option with a better finish, has anyone had experience with ABS stuff? I can't imagine they're of a poorer quality....

Almost. It’s the turn around on the front that is different.

Possibly they could be the type that wrap round under the rear bumper eight to e reads fitted on the front

I would say that they are the minispares ones, the ABS ones aren't designed to curl around the front panel

Unless they are rear ones with the under bumper curve mounted on the front
