Success! The windshield is in, along with the filet strip and chrome cap. I used lots of car shampoo, and just...kept fiddling.

I started at a lower corner and got as much rubber around it as I could. Then I went back to the other lower corner and did the same...Back and forth, a little more here, some up top, a little more on the other side, push the glass into the car, push the seal out from inside...lube lube, back and forth until it was all in.

The mistake I made on my first attempt was thinking I could get some portion of the windshield all the way in and then work my around. It didn't work like that...I had to half-insert one side, then somewhat insert the other side, then go back and make a little more progress...The whole windshield has to kind of go in all at once, you just get each section a touch closer here and there piecemeal. It helped to sometimes push the windshield outward form the inside of the car to help get the rubber around.

The fillet wasn't so bad once I figured out which head to use (there are four in the Heavy Duty Fillet Tool from Mini Spares—it's the second smallest one. I had to pay close attention, 'cause every time I tried to speed up or take video it would slip out and I'd have to go back re-pry the rubber lip around the tool and make sure the fillet was all the way in.

Thanks, y'all! The tips helped.

Well done.

I fitted a rear screen yesterday with my Grandson on his car and it took all of 10 minutes including the filler strip. Fairy liquid works wonders!
