I had this problem when I wired the front indicators in series (repaired the section of harness). What confused me was when testing there was 12v but it wouldn't flash. I added a short bit of wire to the back of the bulb holder to make them parallel rather than two wires into 1 connector on the bulb holder and that fixed it.

Might not be the issue but it took me a while to figure it out!

So after a wiggle of the wires from the harness to the back of the indicator I have a working flashing bulb ! I can only think a dodgy connection was to blame after re aligning the bonnet previously. With that said I still have no hazards so need to work from the switch back. Thanks again everyone for the replies, suggestions and input, much appreciated
