So when driving my 94 JDM SPI the other day, I felt a pop in the clutch pedal, and then it felt like there was a bit of dead travel at the top before I felt any pressure. As the drive went on, my clutch pressure got lower and lower. I've tried bleeding the clutch, and pedal pressure has not improved. It seems to get firmer as I bleed it, but goes back to engaging basically on the floor as soon as I stop. Pumping it does not build pressure. Can't find any leaks. Car still shifts and drives fine, just pedal is REALLY light. Slave, master, and clutch line have all been replaced within the last 4 years. I felt around for leaks and didn't feel anything damp.
It seems like there's air still getting in the system somewhere, but I also didn't know if maybe this is an issue with the actual pedal linkage, and it just feels like hydraulics? Feeling a noticeable pop before when it all changed seems odd.
On doing some more reading, it seems like the cheaper slave cylinders are known to have some issues, and that's what I put in. May need to toss in one of the genuine ones. The dust cover on it did seem torn.
