Hi, I have replaced the boot and seal on my 1984 Mini and it is so hard to close, if you can get it to close at all... can anyoine offer any guidenece please? thinner seal availability ect?

Phoenix Trim in link below make the best rubber seals for Minis which actually fit like the originals.
Also the earlier rubber seal which fits to the bootlid is usually better than the later type which fitted to the body.
Either seal can now be used on later Minis as their is now a self-adhesive version of the early Mk1/2 bootlid seal which does not need all the fixing holes for metal fixing clips.
