We left gatwick to Dover with 100%. Ferry to calais and a hotel for the night at 77%
8am start and to Rouen which took 2.5 hours. Charge for 25 minutes and a well deserved cuppa and a wee for the kids.
Then Le Mans for lunch in a 2 hour stint as we charged for 35 minutes. Then to Plage de Moulettes for the caravan and we still had 35% left after a 2.5 hour drive with a lot of traffic around Nantes.
Then 4 days in the caravan charging at a low 5 amp so I didn't blow any fuses. Then the same trip back. Free charging on the ferry. Total charging time on the road was 50 minutes in each direction. We had lunch at 2 of those stops and a cuppa at the other 2. We could have charged for less time but we weren't in a rush. Total cost of charging for approx 850 miles of driving was 32 quid using tesla supercharger. French roads are awesome. Whisper quiet pinned at 137kmh.
If we had a diesel we could have 1 stopped each way but with the kids we had to stop anyway.
In our old zafira it would have been at least 3 stops for petrol at a cost of 200 quid and an unpleasant drive
Conclusion. Wont go back to petrol. However we do charge on our drive at 7p a kWh and for us it works well

Also interesting to see how 'smart' EV's can collect all your personal data, movements, reactions and even the public chargers do the same but with poor security or controls on who your personal info gets shared with or preventing hacking....

As much as I dislike EV's, they're not the only cars that collect info constantly.

We deliberately had a conversation about building a bomb to destroy Nigel Farage and his cronies, sadly no adverts for Semtex and other materials appeared on my phone :-(

Regularly, but they’re the goons from Chequers stopping off at the coffee shop.
