As I’ve now chilled off all that rubber/tar C**p from my minis floors, but as the black tar stuff was laid straight over the top of the metal drain plugs (can’t really se the point of them if there covered) it did a pretty good job of holding them in place. So I’m now going to replace all of the metal plugs with the rubber type that do a much better job of sealing and staying put.

Only (yep there’s always but) when I had a look in chavspeed (aka Halfords) the only ones I could find were 3 in a box of about 30 other rubber grommets and plugs for £4.50, witch as I need about 15 (two for spare wheel well in the boot as well) of the ruddy things would work needing 5 boxes at just over £20.

Which I though was a little on the pricey side for some little 1” rubber plugs and 5 boxes of a load of others I will probably never ever use.

So does anyone know of somewhere else that I could purchase about 15-20 (might be worth having a few spare) of these rubber plugs to fit a 1” diameter hole?

As I can’t start gluing down my under felt / sound proofing (yes I know minis aren’t meant to be quite) till all these holes are plugged.

Cheers,

Are these just rubber gromits that are sealed rather than having a hole through the middle?
