Exactly, Designer has it right, with all due respect to the above posts asking it it could be embraced or become annual event, well it’s obviously was for 30 odd years, but the point is the event got pulled due to those reasons and I doubt it’s going to become official anytime soon, unless the politicians change.

I’m not gong to harp on about it, but we all know it’s wrong Brighton Council took issue and don’t get me started on ULEZ tax. Sadly this is the world we live in now :-(

As I understand it Brighton authorities are or were happy to host The L to B Mini run.
What killed it was Sadiq Khan's ULEZ and LSMOC could not find a suitable starting point at the London end.

Reminder.

Some of us are up for it, just can't break the habit of driving our Minis down to Brighton in May, more are welcome.

Takes place on Sunday 18th May.

Start for the ULEZ Compliant Minis:

If you are joining us at the Full Monty cafe, Brighton Road, Coulsdon CR5 3EA (which is outside ULEZ) there is limited parking. Please park nearby in Hollymeoak Road or Woodplace Lane.

Departure time is 09:45.

The number of people saying that they are going is rising daily but, since it’s a like-minded group of individuals not a ticketed, regulated event, time alone will tell.
