I have found the purchase details, it was July last year... I will send them an email and hope for the best!
I run my own retail shop supplying and repairing electric cycles and I would never have survived decades in business if I acted the same way as they do, how can a company design and sell a product of such poor quality and get away with it for so long!

If nothing else, I'm hoping that this post will advise at least 1 person that is currently looking to buy a brake upgrade... don't go to minisport! Such a shame as it has rendered the mini back in the garage where it has been for 10 years whilst restoring.. at least I got to drive it for a few weeks I guess :(

Good luck getting minisport to fix anything. They wouldn't even fix the fact that they sent an incomplete set of flares to me. I don't think a single one of the parts I sourced from them lasted even a year or two. Most failed before the mini even went anywhere.

These calipers are just getting me annoyed now!
First the pad rattle....Now the pistons don't seem to be returning enough and the pads are constantly rubbing which is covering the entire car in excessive brake dust!
Do I have any legal stand point on this or do I just give up and chuck them on a shelf in the workshop?
Oh yeah, and one of the discs is bent! So when reversing all you get is a click clak click clak as the pads pick up and drop side per side!

Sadly I can't find what I did with the invoice so don't have a purchase date, I know it was over 6 months ago as they were on my dining table along with all the other shiny bits waiting on the shell getting finished.

Absolutely awful quality products and I will spread the word far and wide to stop as many people going through what I've ended up with!

if one of the discs is bent could this be the cause of both problems then? did you clean the disc mounting flange well before fitting and what is the run out with a DTI? if it is warped you may get somewhere with minisport or they may just say wear and tear. fitted these to other mini and only issue was wheel weights at risk of clouting caliper

I stopped using that company a long time ago. Quality control is a concept lost on them.
Once I ordered a big valve, fully gas-flowed head for a 1071 Cooper S rally car. I was careful to specify the combustion chamber volume to give 11:1 CR. When it arrived I checked the volume of the chambers and had not been done correctly and would have resulted in a CR of about 7.5:1 if fitted to the 1071.
Later I had an issue with a fully rebuilt SCCR gearbox, which I sorted myself as it was easier than packing and returning it.
That was a long time ago and since then I always deal with Mini Spares.
