Overheating In Traffic

today its been running poorly struggling to idle cut out at the lights i have adjusted the mixture with my screwdriver hopefully it gets me home 

Do you have a Tow Rope ?.

I had a large water pump pulley on mine and it did get warm in rush hour traffic.  Switched to a slightly smaller pulley from a metro and its much better now.    Worth a go if you not using your metro one already.

i'm sorry I may of measured it at the time (christmas) but i cant remember, the large one was from the old 998 and i think thats 4.7inches.  This metro one i found in a box of 1275 bits from an engine i exchanged at med for an upgrade; it was factory painted yellow and has a step in it..    At a guess its one size down from the large one, looking online it may be 4.2 inches.

i think i hve fixed it myt adjusting the mixture and i fould a loose wire on the coil still a bit of popping but i think that's a flywheel issue
