Just started hearing a knocking from the front OS wheel (pretty much in time with the rotation) when I turn left (when weight is thrown on this wheel). It isn't affected by brakes or clutch so I'm guessing it's related to driveshaft/wheel bearing/ball joints etc.

Just wondered if anyone has experienced similar before I get my hands dirty.

Late 80's carb model with 10" wheel conversion.

Thanks all. I checked the wheel nuts as soon as I noticed and it's not that. Looks like a busy weekend.

It was the CV joint. The clip on the larger boot end had leaked grease and the joint was nearly dry. Refilled and clip replaced. Job done.
