Seeking help as recently I have an issue with my Japanese classic mini SPI(rover engine) which comes with dual socket ECU(MNE101351) with A/C. the engine starts well but the will fluctuate high low on idling during cold start and it will stabilize once the engine is hot.

Also when the engine is hot, if put some load to the engine like turning on the A/C together with Head lights will cause the idles to fluctuate high low again.

Also before the engine warms up, it only showed 2 warning. After warm up it shows 5 faults.

i not sure how to upload videos to the post, hence uploaded to GDrive.

The ECU has the vacuum pressure sensor built in. So there is a vacuum line going from the engine intake to the ECU. This line consists of three pieces: two hoses, plus a fuel trap halfway. The fuel trap prevents fuel (fumes) from getting into the sensor. The symptoms you describe indicate to either a leak in those tubes, or a clogged fuel catch (or both). You can find these items in the drawing on this page https://www.minispar...0209/page/166/  , identified as item numbers 5, 6 and 8.

How are the vacuum hoses?

I been using silicone 3mm hose all the while and even changed again to new hose to be sure it is not the hose.

I have ordered new fuel traps, hopefully that will solve

Sometimes it is not the hose itself, but the connectors at the end: the plastic becomes brittle and cracks. These hoses are easy to check: remove it, close one end with your finger and blow on the other end: check for leaks. Unfortunately is disassembly (and re-assembly) a bit of a struggle and time-consuming.

To check your current fuel trap you can remove it from the car and blow on one end. If it is clogged you will notice it immediately.

Lets start with the temperature sensor fault. Does the temperature read correctly? If yes, perhaps there's interference?

Make a log-file over at least 5 minutes and post it here. Log files are better for diagnostic!
