Better have a little moan now: Regarding those supplied U-Bolts, which I said were 1/4" longer than original. Now fitted they are a disgrace. They stick out a good 1/2" interfering with the carpeting in the foot well. Have to be cut down in situ, with a hacksaw and file, if possible. When I'm refreshed.

I was going to cut them down before fitting but decided not to mess around with the threads... I wanted an easy enough job, and took the risk of cutting if necessary, after fitting. Didn't want to cut them a tad too small either, that way. Perhaps a wrong decision. One that I shouldn't have to have made anyway.

Even practically incompetent  European parts managers fresh out of University with an MBA have no right to interfere with engineering specs, just to make items more uniform across a range, in pursuing savings they wont hand on to the customer. No excuse will do.

Its not quite the same as having to bend them slightly to get the correct width. "its just a u-bolt" - and one size fits all.

Oh well, I'll notify Minispares, because hey will  understand and care about that.
