I am repairing a 1985 Mini Ritz boot floor and trying to determine which repair sections I need.  I came across this panel called a Fuel Tank Support Bracket - LH on the drawings:

https://www.minispor...ct/view/id/375/

Slightly confusing as I can see what purpose it fulfils however my mini does not have this panel, it does have a line on the boot floor where the welded seam of the tank has rubbed through the paint.

Does anyone know if it should be there or did only certain years have it.

Should I fit it anyway as it does seem to be a better solution.

Thanks to all that respond.

Tony

Somerford Mini parts diagrams/lists say 1959 to 1975 for 14A 6867:-

Which is when the Mini saloon changed to the later larger fuel tank.

Correct, you only need the small triangular bracket that sits at the rear of the tank on the boot floor.
