I've got no experience of that particular unit. I opted for the Innovate MTX-Al, primarily because it had an analogue gauge that I felt would be easier to read at a glance rather than a flickering digital display. Mounted right next to the tacho, so rpm and afr visible together at glance.
Very happy with it, but it's in a different price bracket to the prosport one, and it's gone up by about £50 since I bought it. I think AC Dodd recommends AEM or Innovate, both with a genuine Bosch sensor, probably for a good reason.

AEM x series, or don't bother.

I'm looking at that model. Which cable length did you opt for? They have 3 foot and 8 foot? Thanks, Daz.

I didn't realise there was an option. My cable length is 8ft plus probably 2ft on the oxygen sensor. I had to mount my sensor immediately in front of the rear silencer -inline with the front edge of the rear subframe due to a remote gear change, so I needed the 8ft length

Thanks imak, do you have a picture of where yours is mounted? Also, do you think if I bought the 8 foot, and didn't really need it, that it would all still tuck away easily behind the dash? Or could it be shortened even?

Mine is only a temporary "installation", it'll be removed once I'm happy with the setup of the carburettors. The gauge it literally wedged between the speedo housing and the rev counter. Cable passes through a grommet in the rear floor pan and is then just laying on the floor for the time being.
The cable is almost 8mm diameter, but I'm sure you could tuck it neatly beneath the dash.

You'd expect the sensor to matter most. If that doesn't produce an accurate signal you'll never get an accurate reading. The controller/gauge is easy in comparison, but it still has to manage the heater etc.

Something a bit different, I bought the diy kit version some years ago.

I think I might've been stung a bit by customs, so it could be worth looking at their dealers list.

Do any of the gauges have a logging function ?

You can log data with the Innovate MTX-AL, but that's beyond me!!

The 14 point 7 has a linear voltage signal output. You can feed it in to something like megasquirt. They make  other wideband drivers that put  OBD data on to the canbus, but they're not much use to most of us. You could always just film your dash with your phone  :P

I've connected my Innovate MTX-L Plus to my laptop to swap it from AFR to Lambda. You do need an extra cable (USB to serial port) which isn't included in the kit.

The logging function works, but it'd be handy to have a few more parameters like RPM and manifold vacuum

Cheers.

I do have the Innovate LM2, while it has a display, it's slow, not that that bothers me as it's more just a logger. It has 8 inputs, some I've configured for MAP and Piston Position in the SU, another for RPMs. It's not a mounted gauge but test kit. Personally, I prefer to set it up, go for a pre-determined test drive then review the data after.

Yes, knowing the AFR isn't much use if you can't see what else is going on when it's showing something to be bothered about. I have Megajolt, so I can see rpm, MAP & ignition advance too. It's still a bit limited as AFR takes the only auxiliary input.

If I was clever enough, I'd look at feeding the 'jolt  into data logging software along with some extra input devices. I suspect it would be less hassle to switch to Sparkduino though.
