Yes, knowing the AFR isn't much use if you can't see what else is going on when it's showing something to be bothered about. I have Megajolt, so I can see rpm, MAP & ignition advance too. It's still a bit limited as AFR takes the only auxiliary input.
If I was clever enough, I'd look at feeding the 'jolt into data logging software along with some extra input devices. I suspect it would be less hassle to switch to Sparkduino though.
IIRC if you go for a drive with the laptop plugged in you can log data on the move. I know turbo Nick has done this is the past
