work has started again!

tidied up my alloy angle seat mounts. i dont think they look too bad for just hacksaw and filing. will polish them up at a later date.

filled the brakes up too. new bleed nipples made it a bit easier, the old ones were full of *rubbish*. need another bleed to be perfect, festa brakes work good so far.

Posted Image

the only problem is a think the pedal sits a bit high.

fuel line and engine in next.

im going to get a 306 hdi, i quite like them and being diesel it will be good for going to nottingham every weekend. its going ok, the long hours are gonna start again soon so it will be even harder! But im doing cnc maching rather than composites now so its more interesting. have you spoke to joel recently?

havent posted for a very long time!

lots of progress, car is almost ready for MOT etc. shouldnt be much longer

engine runs a treat, just need to bleed brakes a few more times to get them solid, need to fit a choke cable too.

needs a dash, grille and arches, few electrical problems need fixing and we're good to go. here some photo;s.

cheers mate.

not too much, but i know it'll take longer than i think...

mod some form of dash to fit inbetween the cage and dash bar, make some sort of housing for the dials and switches.

fit the passenger seat and harness

sort out a few wiring issues

put something in the filler hole in the body

fit the front and rear screens (might be buying a heated front screen)

bleed the brakes

fit the door top pins

put an interior light in, already have wiring in place just need the light.

fit new rack gaitors

i think thats it but im sure they'll be more to do i just can't think of.

once its done suspension and tracking etc. need sorting, then good to go... i think

they are crank case breathers. no mods just fit them to the cannisters using rubber hose. one is by the rad at the back of the engine and the other is over the clutch housing.

just used instead of recirculating the 'dirty'air in the engine back int0 the carb.

I have bought some standard steel wheels to get the car on the road. Just need to sort washers & bottle, get new plates made, wing mirrors, plug the filler cap hole in the body, mount the dials in the dash, fix switches and choke cable and sort out the alternator. Here's a few current pitures. It's almost there!
