1992 spi. I've found this connector dangling behind the dash. Comes from behind the gauge cluster. It gets power from the ignition. There are no other loose connectors and I'm certain this connector was there from the factory. Everything is working in the car at the moment so I'm quite puzzled as to where this goes. Please let me know if you know what this is.

Thank you.

I can only guess but 1992 SPi minis had a switch at the throttle pedal that told the EUC that it was "open". Have you checked towards the top of your pedal to see if there is a switch and if it's connected to anything?

It doesn't seem to be that as the car doesn't have a pedal input switch. Plus this connector looks too different from the input switch connector.

The wire colours should tell you. Black is earth, that suggests a switch or sensor as an input or perhaps illumination. But why 4 connections that suggests a dpst switch?

I have the same dangling connector on my 1998 JDM cooper. I believe it could be for the catalyst overheat buzzer.

only have diagrams for uk spec. cars those colours are for radio ignition supply. and from fuse for reverse switch, indicators and heated rear window. Are there any options not fitted to your car?
