Hi All,
My name is Paul Lambart, along with my brother Ian we are embarking on the restoration of a 1963 Riley Elf.
The car is a barn find and was partly stripped in readiness for track car, having had some modifications to accept a roll cage.
We have about 80% of the car, requiring bumpers, rear seats, head lining, general interior trim etc.
My brother ran a 1964 white Mini traveller as his first car, but always like the Elf. I'm more of a Land Rover man, but I must say its much easier pulling a Mini gearbox off the block than a 2.25 rover lump.
Getting back to the Elf, long with the car we have the loan of a CJ Autos rotisserie so we can easily work on the shell etc (more on that later).
We have been given a 1275 engine along with twin SU carbs, both will need overhaul.
Regarding the rotisserie, there are no adaptors available to mount the Mini body shell from CJ Autos, they advise making your own. Therefor our first question is does anyone have any sketch's/engineering drawings/measurements, that would help us fabricate the necessary frames please?
Regards
Ian & Paul
