Hi guys, looking for some technical advice.

I have searched all posts but coudnt find an answer for this issue

96 SPI,

the Alarm turns on by itself, killing the car while being driven.

The alarm turns itself on every time you take the ignition key off.

Also there is some weird wiring, looks like someone added a wire to the coil.

Thanks

Vic

Loose connection so it thinks it's been switched off when it hasn't ???

The 5AS alarm unit connected to both the engine ECU and the MFU (relay box).
Is the car coming to a halt like immediately or more like fuel starvation?
Adding an extra wire to the coil usually raises my suspicion that some had tried to overcome some past issue.
Have a look through the pinned posts for the appropriate wiring diagram and try some basics tests plus visually inspect the MFU.
