how have people routed the cooling system for this, have had head dry decked and was thinking take off from head heater port then back from turbo to sandwich plate at thermostat does this work? also for oil feed what restrictor, if any, do you need on supply from banjo coupling to turbo? draining back through redundant fuel pump aperture.

That cooling won't work. Yes, take it from the heater port on the left, then route it back before the water pump.

You don't need an oil restrictor for a journal bearing turbo. Drain back, you can use the fuel pump aperture using a relative fitting. It maybe tight though.

Not really as the turbo acts as a restriction, so the majority of the coolant goes through the engine
