[pauljobs gone wrong]

Hi

I have a 1993 spi mini that I bought 12 years ago.

Was running great then all of a sudden !!!

wouldn't start !!!

Anyway I have narowed the issue down to the ecu.

tried another ecu and its running for a few seconds then dies again.

I know it will need pairing etc but any ideas what I pair it with?

I have looked for an immobiliser but couldn't find one ?

The car docent have a fob to press just the old fashioned key.

 

Any ideas what could be up or do I need it pairing with something.

It does sound like an immobilizer fault, I have used a company called technozen in the past for my mg van when the SCU failed and they were excellent. I'm sure if you speak to them they can probably provide some new alarm fobs and programme then but you may need to send off your ECU as I did.
