Hi, I have been a member about a year and had some helpful member feedback around this vehicle. Am now placing it up for sale, most likely will start here and on EBay.

For further info email me on rich.hayman@yahoo.com

Vehicle Details - Mini Chelsea

Colour - The classic Red with white / full union jack roof

Year - 1986 - 1st registered 01/05/86 (V5 document present)

Mileage - 95,328 (indicated)

Engine -  998cc, petrol, 4-speed manual

History

This is a complete car and prior to 2014 it was used regularly. MOT ran out in November 2014. This is a great renovation project opportunity of a classical looking mini in very reasonable condition. Car has been stored and well preserved in the dry since 2014.

Recently end of 2025, we freed up the wheels to get it moving and its now outside (under tarps) and needs to be sold asap to protect the overall integrity of the vehicle.

Internally its largely complete, needs some revamping (looks like most of the floor carpets are there) rear seat (top edge) has deteriorated due to previous sun damage.

Externally looks very good considering the time its been stored without use. Boot has carpet lining also. Vehicle was kept well maintained before this storage period and drove straight/well.

Engine, i have put jump leads on it and the engine turns freely. I tried to charge battery and it wont take it. Its not sparking ( i checked 2 of the 4 plugs). I expect it will need to be drained of fuel and some mechanical work done before it could be run-up.

Inspection for compression etc can be done by interested buyers but ultimately its sold as found / seen and as described above.

More pictures available or can take specific photos (within reason / access allowing).

£2250 (negotiable).

Errm don't wish to sound negative, the info you've posted is useful but I would say that for most people (myself included) body condition, especially structural, is probably more important, and you've not really said anything about that.

Upper body condition looks OK (apart from under the rear screen) in the pictures and I would never suggest buying a car without looking at it first but maybe a few words and pics about the underside would help people to consider if its worth viewing, to help your sale.
