Does anyone have any experience with Anglo Classic Car Parts?

Is this the manufacturer who produces the wood parts for the Mini Spares and Mini Sport? I already purchased these and they don't match and the mounting holes do not line up with the factory.

Do these door cappings match the Rover OE walnut dashboard? Has anyone purchased them? Do the screw holes line up for mounting? I asked Anglo and they gave me a very general answer about how they wouldn't be able to comment on the match which makes little sense for a company in the reproduction business.

I had one of their dashboards, back in 2020.

There were a number of issues with it. Close, but no cigar.

The distance selling regulations apply anyway.

I can understand them being a bit reticent as they can't know what you're really expecting. There's been plenty of time for ageing even if there could be a standard for a natural material.

I doubt there was much of an original spec. They were likely hand fitted with the holes drilled through the cappings.

I zoomed in on the photos they do not appear to be the same. The ends are slightly different and the screw holes are different. The ones from Anglo look more like the Rover OE design.

I would agree with you that the Anglo capping are different as the ends look finished properly as the other generic ones sold by every one else have rubbish ends that are cheap pine painted black that need some work to get them to fit the door properly. Length wise they are all awful as they are a Camel ride from fitting the door properly. If the dash doesn’t match you’d probably have to buy a new one from Anglo to get a match.
I went the expensive way and made new capping that actually fit the doors and had the dash and capping veneered and lacquered properly.

Just wanted to confirm for anyone searching that the Mini Spares cappings are from Anglo. I found the ones I had purchased years ago from Mini Spares and they are an exact match to the photos and the box is stamped with the same part number from the website.

So I've answered my own question. The Anglo ones will not match the OE dash/steering wheel and the screw holes to not align with the factory holes (this also assumes the factory used standardized mounting holes).

Often the way that you end up answering your own questions on stuff like this. Thanks for sharing that answer.

I do doubt the factory ever predrilled/stamped the holes. They're likely to be spaced the same, but there might be slight variation in how they line up between cars.
