as above am in the process of putting 1100 in the mini and am taking the parts from the 998 and putting them on the new one. ive only just noticed though the braket that bolts on the block for the alternator is set a long way back on the 1100 compared to the 998, meaning there is a large gap between the alternator mounting.
im playing with the idea of just putting a large bolt through with a spacer on it.
can anybody shed some light on this, or has anybody had the same problem?

the 1100 sounds like its an a-series block, not an a+, the a-series used the same bolts at the top but it had a huge alternator bracket!! to bridge the gap from the middle of the block to the alternator!!
