That is so cheap, although it appears to need a bit of body restoration.
This is the car that my son and I restored and prepared in the 1990’s and I actually drove it to a class win on the East Anglian Classic Rally in, I think, 1998.
Although originally a 998 it is really an ‘S’.
If I had the space I would have been happy to bid more than that as in Historic events it’s a real class winner.

Those that keep an eye on auctions and classic car sales say prices in general have dropped recently, which is good news if you are a buyer.

Prices certainly have dropped quite a bit.
When I look at that Mini I think that a 970 'S' complete engine & SC CR gearbox must be worth quite a bit as they are so rare now.
Had I not bought my Sunbeam Alpine, I would have bid for that. Then I would have done whatever restoration was needed on the body and built up my spare MK.1 1275 engine to give c.105 bhp.
It would have been highly competitive in historic events and would be worth quite a bit. There is a profit for whoever bought it.

Agree. I have noticed that with the mini prices over the last 5 years.
