I thought bikes had aero?Steve..
My bad watched it years ago when there was none!! seems they have the same problem with dirty air though so will the close racing continue as aero develops?

I know literally nothing about bikes but just gut feeling tells me they don't use aero in the same way
like they don't nail it into corners faster because of downforce, like a car does, it's more for stability at high speed? I did google it to see, it didn't mention cornering speeds but it did say the aero can make the bike more stable and stop the front wheel lifting which seems important
interested to know if that's wrong though

i did the same when ironman pointed out i was wrong, seems they are going towards same issues as F1 though.
'Many riders feel that while aerodynamics enables spectacular lap times, it can worsen the racing itself. Winglets create strong “dirty air” or turbulent airflow behind the leading bike. This makes it difficult for a rider to stay close without losing front-end pressure.7 Jan 2026'

The rules change for next season with limited aero and a reduction in cc as the top speeds are getting too high for safety.
