Hello folks, I haven't been here for many years. I'm getting rid of my unfinished projects and figured I'd like you folks have a nosey at these before I throw them on ebay.

First

An unbuilt 1275. It's in decent condition, but incomplete. I know it's missing the flywheel cover, rear timing cover, timing chain, and rocker cover. If something else looks missing then definitely let me know, it might be lurking somewhere.
Head is 12g940, standard seats, valves just cleaned and lapped
New oil pump, with original
All new gaskets and rubber seals should be present
Engine has new bearings and rings, cylinders had slight hone but still have some staining (see pic). Turns by hand if you can get enough grip
Gearbox afaik did need to rev match down into second
Most things are soaking in oil and labelled where possible, except one box of mostly timing gear which I never got around to.

Second

A big set of spares. I've tried to show part numbers where possible.
New Wipac lights x2
Some spare old rear lights
A box of ball joints I've somehow acquired
Some metro brake pads
Sunpro oil, temp, and amp gauges
New Fuel pump
New steering tie rods
New indicator flasher
New bearings, maybe rears? GHK1018
CV boot kit (single)
Internal bonnet release kit
New Facet electric fuel pump
New Securon seat belts
Spare dizzy and coil
New HT leads
A refurbed hiff44 missing some parts for the throttle and choke return springs (see pics)
Fuel filter for the hiff I assume

Have a good look at the pics. I can take more pictures of whatever you need. I'm fine selling the engine separate from the box of spares, but ideally I'd not split them to sell individual parts. Though looking at Ebay it seems people are doing that for silly money? Car prices in general seem mad at the moment

Anyway, open to offers, let me know either in this thread or via DM. Cheers!

Chris

I'm in Corsham, SN13. The engine owes me about a grand, I'd be happy taking £800 for it

you won't have any trouble selling that, I just wish I had a spare 800 sitting about.. good luck with it, shame to sell up but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do

if you get a chance to split the engine and box you could add pics of the crank journals and bores and so on, to give an idea where it's at and what work might need doing.  sounds like nothing to worry about but it would probably help people to be confident as buyers

£110 for the spares. I can post them as well, no worries there.

That's a good idea. I'm coming around to the idea of splitting the engine and selling the gearbox/block/head separately. If/when I get around to that I'll take some better pictures of anything important. As far as I remember the crank was pretty mint (I hope that's still the case, it's been sitting in grease) but the bores have some staining and a slight lip at the end of the ring travel you can feel with a finger.

even if selling complete, the buyer would probably be fine with it seperated, easier to transport as well as convenience for viewing, plus if you just bought an engine, regardless of history, you'd take it apart wouldn't you before building it up
