Hi!

 

The picture shows the reason of my questions : what I did wrong ? 

 

It is a freshly built 850, it never run a second. Powerspark 25D electronic dizzy with VC110 1.5Ohm coil

 

I'd liked to start it but there was no spark. Finally I found that the coil is faulty, it showed 4 ohm at the primary circuit and ~2 kOhm at secondary

 

I also noticed that the bottom of the coil housing has a "hump" so it became more evident that I burnt the coil somehow.

 

I would like to avoid this to happen so any advice is welcome

The ignition was likely left connected somehow.

As above but also adding the electronic dizzy may also be kaput.

I have the same coil in my 998 so I put it in and it started immediately  :shifty:
