I have a liquid levelers hydro pump that I am rebuilding, new O rings, replace broken vac. Gauge. I found in one of the boxes of spare parts a bag with some very small ball bearing between 1/8” - 1/4” in dia.   I haven’t found any of these installed during the tear down.  So I am wondering where exactly they are used?  Perhaps as part of a one way check valve?  Any information would be appreciated.

That would be my guess. It would make sense to have one preventing fluid going back to the reservoir & another preventing fluid being pushed back from the car.
