I know you get what you pay for and at approx £41 these seem too good to be true.

Has anyone actually tried them though?

I can't comment on the above but I got the 12 inch nankang green eco sport tyres for my car when I couldn't get hold of yokos.
Car is used as a daily with motorway running and they have been brilliant, rain, frost or sun they perform as I would expect them to. I was dubious about nankang because I'd never heard of them but I'll definitely get them again.

I have no experience with them but it you drive sensibly I am sure they will be fine. Remember minis came with cross ply tyres originally.

Who remembers the 5-20 x 10 Dunlop C41 tyre? Then we got the 145/80 x 10 Michelin X radials which transformed the car.

A Michelin X is the only tyre I've had blow out on me ... sidewall went for no apparent reason (no cuts, no bulges, never hit kerb).
Never been a fan of Michelins since.

Apparently these Nankang tyres are meant to be used on trailers. As such, they seem to have a rigid sidewall. Not the best idea on a Mini I would say. Nankang themselves don't provide a lot of info on the tyre (other than saying it's for truck and bus): https://www.nankang-...duct/detail/12. I would say there are better tyres for the Mini in that size. I would rather go for the Blockley tyre in that size: https://www.blockley...product/145r10. Heard some good opinions on this one.

The Nankang 145 R10 comes in 2 different versions:

Nankang TR10 145/80R10 - passenger car - load rating 69, speed rating S (180kph)
Nankang TR10 145R10 - light truck & trailer - load rating 84/82, speed rating N (140kph)

The 145 Nankang is the only widely available 145 R10 tyre locally stocked one here (Australia) and they are a much more affordable option than importing a set of 145 tyres from the UK like the Blockley

I’ve put about 2000km on a set of the Nankang 165/70R10 tyres and I’ve been impressed so far. On my car they’ve been better than my last set of A008’s, and the main bonus is they are locally stocked (Australia) and about 2/3 the price of A008’s
