I wonder if someone could give me a bit of advice..I have got a boot floor repair section not the full floor but the one that goes from passenger side to drivers side but only up to spare wheel well.i have also got the panel that goes from under tail lights past wheel arch and to rear seat back. Have also got the piece from the seat back and into cabin.all these pieces carry on from one another but overlap especially the boot floor section and the one from under taillight.if I fit those two there will be double thickness is this correct or do they need cutting and joining to make one single boot floor skin.i hope this makes sense any help would be appreciated.

the original is one single skin, if you want to replicate that then you need to cut the pieces in and flush them all off as if it was one piece

there is an extra 'layer' just underneath the wheel arch to floor brackets (left and right sides, near the back, rear subframe mount bolts) which is actually a part of the rear valence closing panel (the short enclosed bit at each end inside the rear valence).  other than that it's one piece

when you're cutting it out you'll want to brace it up in some way, or make a jig, so you maintain the correct positions for those rear subrame bolts.  if you're gonna use the subframe as a jig then replace the bushings first,  don't use the loose old squished ones which might put you out by a few mm.

If you're working on the rear mounts (aka replacing the boot floor) leave the front ones (heelboard) in place, and vise-versa, apologies if that's already obvious (you didn't mention the heelboard but if your boot floor is shot, fair chance that's in need of work too)

ideally you'd take all the reference measurements and check the subframe is actually in the right place to start with (never a garuntee) but if it's been ok until now, at least put it back the same as you found it I guess

Stick them in overlapping each other and adjust for best fit.Screw the overlaps together then use a one mm cutting disc to cut through the joint and butt weld.Spread the cuts about and slowly do it all. Steve.
