Hope someone can help me here. I bought this block about 5 years ago from a guy in wales and it has +20 pistons fitted and a bladed crank. I have rebuilt the engine and come a cross the extra hole. On the usaul 1275 this is blanked off . The hole is threaded but I don't know what could go in there. Is it a water or oil galley . I have no idea. Can anyone enlighten me?

Cheers

That's a Block Drain for the Cooling Jacket. They deleted it on later blocks.

Block it off. It likely doesn't go anywhere now. As Spyder said it used to be for a block water drain; a very useful tap when needing to drain the water from the engine.
