Hey,

As the title says, I purchased a replacement dashboard and in my haste didn't check fi this would actually fit on the MPI mini I have.

Beyond the fact its missing the SRS light and the alarm LED, the 3 instruments (speedo, rev counter etc) do not seem to be able to attach in any sensible way. It seems finding LHD dashboards that fit an MPI is quite challenging with my location, so is there anyway I can make this work or am I a complete numpty?

If you still have the old dashboard, get it re-veneered. That's what I did with mine.

Sorry to hi jack, but where did you get that done and how does the price compare to a new dash? My original MPI dash I looking very sorry for itself but I'm loathed to remove it as I want to keep the car original.

Premium was roughly 50% on the price of the problematic replacement offerings. My experience of the "copy", which I bought so that I could keep using the car while my original dash was being re-veneered, was disappointing.

Chapman and Cliff were a pleasure to deal with and offered a variety of veneers to choose from, I chose Burr Elm, rather than the Walnut, because I wanted to keep the colour light. Mine has a black interior and I didn't want it too dark inside. The quality is excellent and the turnaround was within timescale, too.
