How original do you think this is? What's missing?

RSP General Spec:-

How to Identify an RSP:-

https://www.rsp-regi...uyers_guide.htm

Someone has gone a bit overboard with the red paint...and the red covered dash rails!

Early RSP plastic air filter housing is missing, the RSP housing is harder to find as it doesn't have the badge moulded into the air-intake like later Coopers.

Rocker cover is not original.

Chrome wheel arch covers may cover the original colour coded plastic arches.

Gear knob is not original.

Chrome Numberplate light housing is not original.

Correct alloy wheels for the RSP. They look very similar to other models, but the spokes are cut to acomodate the wheel nuts which are inline with them.

More RSP info and pics in the links above which may help.

Would you say the walnut dashboard is original? I've not seen any with the three separate dials, looks like the middle one is for fuel consumption? The one on the right is for oil I believe?

I don't think any Walnut dash is factory original until later on in 'mainstream' Cooper production, although many early RSP owners 'upgraded' their Minis once John Cooper started selling a wide range of accessories for the 1990's Coopers. The three aftermarket dials shown are Volts, Fuel Consumption and Oil pressure. The CD player in the dash is also aftermarket as the RSP originally had a Philips R570 radio-cassette unit mounted in a plastic moulding under the passenger side parcel shelf/dash rail.

Thanks for the reply. Regarding the CD player, could that have been upgraded at the time when the walnut dashboard was fitted ? I'm not sure what accessories they started selling
