Hi all, went to bleed the brakes yesterday and after going all the way round (furthest away from master working round to nearest) the tested the brakes to find the fronts work well, but the rears dont work? brought a pair of new cylinders thinking this may solve the issue, but no!  Bleed through again and still no back brakes (when pushing the brake peddle down on bleeding, it will not go all the way down on the rears, but does on the front if that helps diagnose the issue)

what mark is your mini? to clarify, you are getting a good flow of fluid from the rears when bleeding?

Its a 1984 Mini mayfair, and I do get some flow when trying to bleed, but the peddle def does not go to the floor?

Yes, all ajusted correctly... did fit a new master cylinder fitted last year, but car not used sinse. It was bleed at the time, but not tested, so maybe the problem goes further back to then?

Could the issue be with the presure reducing valve?

Rear brakes can be a pain to bleed when using the "pump pedal" method.

Either employ the use of a pressure or vacuum bleeding device to successfully bleed the rears.
