Hey! I'm trying to test fit these arches I got from minispares

https://www.minispar...-5-wide-wp-type

They mostly fit, except for the curve at the end, check out these photos:

The rear almost fits, which I think I can just maybe use a heat gun to soften the curve. But the front seems pretty different. My car is a 1991 Japan-spec mini, so I'm wondering if the arches are for a different generation/mk?

I really like the style of these W&P arches, so if they aren't the right year, does anyone have a link to the right ones that will fit?

These are the standard type fitted to minis from 1984 and the ones I have on mine.

Mine were fitted with rivnuts.

I would contact Minispares with your photos for advice, as that is a very large mis-match in arch profile if your front wing/fender is factory standard and unmodified in any way. Something is clearly not quite right with your car or the wheel arch extension moulding...?

The bodyshell wheel arch shape/profile is the same on all Mini generations/Mk's from 1959 to 2000. The only factory change made was in 1996 and only for the MPi Sportpack arches option with 13" wheels, when the front wing arch profile was cut-a-way under the large front arch extensions, to allow full steering lock with the 6 x 13" wheels and 175/50x13 tyres.

The Wood & Pickett style arches are designed to fit on the standard bodyshell wheel arch lip profile with hidden fixings from below.

Just for your reference only, these are the Minispares templates for drilling/cutting for fitting of the large 'Sportpack' Arches to a non-MPi Mini.
