Hello all
I would like to fit some fixed seat belts in the rear seats.
I can’t find any rear fitting holes for belts.
Can you tell me if there is a belt kit I can buy.
Mini Clubman mk3 1974.
Any help gratefully received

varies from model to model and I don't know the years

but.. standard you should have at least lap belts so that gives you the clicker fixing point (whatever that bits called lol)

if you look at your C posts is there a big threaded bolt hole there under the trim, to fix the top part (you can buy alternative panels to spot weld in but obviously it's a fair bit of work)

and then down in the rear bins each side you either have the reel fixing bracket, or you don't.  I didn't, so I welded them in.  then again I'm full strip and rebuilding anyway, it's not a quick easy job you can just do in a weekend (unless you're really well kitted out and do that sort of thing all the time)

there may be alternative kits to suit cars without the brackets in the bins but I'm not aware of them or how they'd work

My 75 mk3 1275gt has no rear belts or fixings I’m sure they came in, in the mk4 76 revamp.

Somerford sell this kit of brackets.

MOUNTING KIT- REAR SEAT BELTS (5 x WELD-IN BRACKETS)

"Allows rear seat belts to be fitted to saloon models. C post brackets require extending for MK1 models. These must be welded to the shell by a competent person."

that's not the right hole, the fixing point would be about here:

post-139753-0-38003800-1782815870.jpg

and threaded about 1/2" deep or so, but you don't have the inner reinforcement panel. you'd have to cut off that little window bracket to fit one, but that's minor work

IIRC there are (at least) two different panels for that, depending on age / size of rear windscreen etc.  Im guessing yours would be the oldest but check properly

shelf mounted option as above might be easier of course
