Hi guys

My oil feed pipe from the oil filter housing to block has suffered some damage. Looks like a couple of small dents.

Oil pressure is good. 60 PSI under load. 40PSI at idle.

I'm worried the dented pipe may cause oil starvation.

Surely if I have decent oil pressure I should be feeding the engine with enough oil. I had planned a road trip this weekend but I'm worried I may starve the bearings. Think I should wait for a replacement to arrive first?

Cheers, Babs

How badly dented is the oil supply pipe?  A picture would be nice but 60 PSI at cruise and 40 PSI at idle??  There are plenty out there who would be thrilled with that oil pressure.  If you trust the gauge, I would drive the car.

The oil goes through the pipe & filter, then to the main gallery where the gauge reads the pressure so I wouldn't be worried as long as the gauge shows good psi
