Bought this as an engine/gearbox unit as I wanted the gearbox.

Engine is an A series 998cc. with standard bores.

The crank mains are at +0.020", big ends standard.

The cylinder head is a 12G202 as fitted to early Coopers and Austin/Morris 1100 engines.

Engine turns over O.K.

Can include the flywheel and clutch if needed.

Engine collection from east Cardiff.

£160.

It also has an 1100 type crank damper which is interesting. Have you checked the stroke is 998? Or the casting number on the crank?

I fitted the damper as the tin one was distorted. No mystery, sorry.
