Morning!

 

I'm going to be overhauling the front and rear hubs on my 99 MPi soon, as well as refurbishing the radius arms. I've got the necessary reamer for the radius arms, but I don't have any bearing pullers.  I'd therefore be grateful for suitable recommendations of pullers for the front and read bearings, and for the radius arm pivot shaft bearings as well.

You shouldn't need pullers for doing the wheel bearings, though on the odd one you may need a 2 or 3 leg puller. You'll have better success with a name brand. Depending on just how stuck the bearing will be, you may need a bearing splitter for the rears, on the fronts, if they are that jammed on, you need a new CV.

I have Sykes Internal or Collet Pullers that I use in the gearbox and these also to the bearings in the arms. I didn't but a set, just 3 loose collets that I use with threaded rod. I'd had the same ones for nearly 40 years, done 100's with them.

I don't think I've ever needed a puller. Can't have been much of challenge if I can't remember. On the front you knock the CV joint through, on the rear you could use the wheel studs & nuts to pull if you find something to bridge over the stub axle end. It would probably be better to pull the radius arm bearing with a proper tool, but they can be chewed driven out from the other end.

if you do use a socket on the end of an extension to drive the radius arm bearing out, make sure it's one that locks on 

 

or you might pull the extension out and leave the socket inside the radius arm, which is hollow... fun times
