"AROnline Day is returning to Great British Car Journey in Ambergate on Sunday, 23 August. This year marking 25 years since the website first appeared, and everyone is invited to join us.
This year’s event will once again celebrate the full sweep of Britain’s motoring history. We want Austins, Morrises, Rovers, Triumphs, Hillmans, Humbers, Jaguars, Fords, Vauxhalls and everything else designed, engineered or built in Britain.
Your car does not need to be rare, immaculate or remotely sensible – in fact, some of the cars most closely aligned with the spirit of AROnline are the ordinary survivors, long-term projects and conditionally challenged old friends that have somehow made it this far. You also do not need to bring a classic car. Come along in whatever you have, meet fellow readers and explore the museum’s collection of more than 150 British cars.
AROnline Day takes place at Great British Car Journey, Derwent Works, Ambergate, Derbyshire DE56 2HE, from 10.00am until 4.00pm on Sunday, 23 August 2026. Pre-booked admission costs £15 per person. That includes entry to the museum and a £15 voucher to spend during the day on food and drink, museum merchandise, driving experiences or Great British Car Club membership. In practical terms, use the voucher and your museum admission has cost you nothing.
Admission on the day is also £15 per person, although this doesn’t include the spending voucher, so pre-booking is strongly recommended. Under the museum’s Linked Events scheme, owners of any vehicle more than 20 years old can take advantage of the event offer. Children under 15 are admitted free when arriving in an eligible vehicle."
