So, the ACL bearings came with the smallest one, oil pump side, with a half slot in it. Which way does this go in ? I would've thought towards the inside of the engine to pick up the oil that's being sloshed around.

So, all built up and I have 0.03mm of camshaft end float. Is that too tight ?

New camshaft, new duplex sprocket, new camshaft triangle.

Will it all bed in or do I need some kind of shim ?

That's too tight (about 0.0012"). Ideally you want between 0.003 to 0.006". The normal way to adjust it is to machine the back of the sprocket.

Before you get too carried away, try fitting the old " camshaft triangle " and have a re-measure , it might be just what you need.
