"In 1977 British Leyland issued the training film 'The Quality Connection' in which David Suchet, Frank Windsor, Madeline Smith and several other well-known actors at the time, play Leyland workers whose joint ineptitude leads to a runaway Austin Allegro. 'The Quality Connection' film was for internal use only, but the fact that it was commissioned at all denoted BL’s urgent need to improve quality or lose further market share to its competitors."
