I have been thinking about putting the washer bottle in the boot like the later Minis. Can someone tell me about where the washer tube is routed. Does it go inside the car, or underneath the car. My Mini is a 1990. I do have a aftermarket washer bottle and motor for it. Not using the stock one. Thanks very much.

The windscreen washer tube on later Minis goes from the washer bottle in the boot up the rear C post, along the roof and then down the front A post and out through the front bulkhead through a grommet to the washer jets.
Not an easy job to install the pipe this way, unless the headlining is removed. Apparently on the Mini production line they also used to put a small bolt in the end of the washer tube which gave it a bit of weight and helped it move along easier through the body.
