I have decided to sell my Mini Sprite due to a recent change in circumstances.

I agree, what a nice looking car, amazing someone hasn’t molested it with big wheels and de-badged it.

One small thing, I’d put the arches on, otherwise it could fail an MOT, as it’s currently not factory standard and the front wheel may protrude too far. I could be wrong, especially as I believe it has 145 tyres, so might be ok.
I wouldn’t worry about drilling the wings, as it had arches from new.

Thanks that’s nice of you to say. I decided not to change it too much. I wish I didn’t have to sell it, but unfortunately I’ve had a few things happen recently, so need to sell her. Thanks 👍

Thanks. I did debate modding it a bit when I first got it back on the road after the respray, but in the end thought it would be best to keep it more standard looking, which I think was the right decision.
Yes you’re probably right, I maybe should put the arches back on, although the standard wheels and tyres don’t seem to protrude too far. In the end I just couldn’t bring myself to drill holes in the brand new wings! So I chickened out and have left the decision to the new owner!

I had one EXACTLY the same as this as my first car. Brand new it was, lucky me, loved it to bits.
It felt like a big leap forward from an 89 Racing Green that I'd been driving up to then.
I got 2 years free insurance which was a big deal in your early 20s back then.
I remember going to collect it and seeing rust in a couple of places... Which they did agree to fix.

You should hang onto it and keep it original. There are so few like that now.

Sounds great to have had one of these cars from new. Would have loved to own a classic mini from new!
I know Mini’s like to rust, but from brand new is a surprise 😁

Yes decided now to hang onto it now.
I’ve been debating whether to put the original style wheel arches back on or not, can’t quite bring myself to drill holes in the bodywork for them at the moment though!

Yes I really need to get around to putting the arches back on, been putting it off a bit!
